Come to Spain to immerse yourself in the language and culture of this Northern city. Oviedo is the capital of the Principality of Asturias and the main seat of the university. A city of medieval origin situated in a delightful setting of natural beauty among mountains and valleys and close to the sea, it offers visitors the peace and quiet and safety of Northern Spain’s small cities (with a population of around 220,000 inhabitants). It constitutes the region’s geographical, administrative, cultural and services center. The University of Oviedo is one of the oldest in the country with ample experience teaching Spanish as a second language. They follow an active participation and a communicative approach to teaching/learning.
