Participate in a pre-travel online learning experience with nursing students in Costa Rica currently attending the Universidad Hispanoamericana during the month of May. In June, we will travel to Costa Rica and work with nursing students there to provide healthcare services in rural areas. We will visit a nursing home, a school, a daycare, a rural community, and participate in an interprofessional simulation activity at the Universidad Hispanoamericana. We will also have some time to visit local sites to be determined by the group that is approved to travel. These sites may include volcanoes, national park, rainforest aerial tram experience, cloud forest zip line, hot springs, museums, markets, etc. We will decide our final "tourist" destinations in May during our online learning course together.
